How Can I Get Help?

 

Every Sunday

If you’re looking for a homemade meal, a safe space to spend a few hours with your LGBTQ peers or a place to discuss issues that affect your daily life, our Sunday Dinner & Life Skills Group is for you. Come join us!

5:00pm – Doors Open
6:00pm – Dinner is Served
7:00pm – Life Skills Group

 

Every Monday and Friday

If you need help with a problem, our Walk-In Case Management program is available on Mondays and Fridays. No problem is too big or too small! We can help you with finding housing, getting your identification, changing your name, applying for Medicaid or public assistance, legal issues, tutoring, GED or SAT prep or applying to college. Even if you just need someone to talk to, stop by and we will listen.

Emergency Assistance

Mission Statement

Created in 2008, the mission of New Alternatives is to increase the self-sufficiency of homeless LGBT youth and to enable them to transition out of the shelter system and into stable adult lives. We do this by providing case management, education services, life skills training, community-building recreational activities, opportunities for self-expression, and support services for HIV+ youth. Our guiding principles are those of harm reduction, youth development, and empowerment.
